ALCAZABA OF ALMERÍA

Get to know our Arab fortress, because our history is marked by arabesque style such as La Alcazaba de Almería, which can be seen from anywhere in the city. A fortress that emerged from the hands of the Arab royalty, by Abderramán III in 995 and by King Taifa of Almería Hayrán and resurfaces from Christian hands after its reform by the Catholic Monarchs.

Hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays and holidays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday working days closed.

FORT BRAVO TEXAS HOLLYWOOD

CIVIL WAR SHELTERS

Immerse yourself in the Civil War Shelters built in 1938 to house the city's population during the bombings. In them you can see documents and objects characteristic of the time, operating rooms used during the attacks ... Galleries and passageways that run through our city for 4.5 kilometers, crossing a city full of history.

Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 1.30pm and from 6pm to 9pm. Closed Monday.

ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM

Enjoy a walk through our most ancient culture, discovering a museum that houses the essence of Almeria, full of prehistoric sites. The most characteristic exhibitions will always be Los Millares and El Argar, where you will be able to recognize pieces, graphics, illustrations, audiovisuals and models of the most important settlements in our province. This museum not only reflects our most ancestral culture, but also represents our Islamic Almería through the Madinat Al-Mariyya settlement and the Roman Almería visualized with the Bacchus of Chirivel under a monographic series.

Hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays and holidays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closed Mondays.
Admission: Free for citizens and residents of the European Union. Other visitors € 1.50.

CINEMA MUSEUM

Bring back memories of our cinematographic past by visiting our Cinema Museum. You will discover that a rich legacy from the film industry is safeguarded, since our province is the scene of a large number of series, films and advertising campaigns. You will find elements of props and costumes from great actors who marked international cinema such as Steven Spielberg, Clint Eastwood, Antonio Banderas, Claudia Cardinale, Raquel Welch or Penélope Cruz. As well as the spectacular locations where films such as Laurence of Arabia, Cleopatra, Exodus and Game of Thrones have been recorded.

Hours: Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday from 10.30 to 13.30. Friday and Saturday from 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

CATHEDRAL OF ALMERÍA

Stroll through the most Gothic and Renaissance Almería around the Cathedral of the Incarnation and its square. This grandiose building is considered the only cathedral with the character of a fortress erected in the 16th century in Spain, for this reason it is declared an Asset of Cultural Interest and Historic-Artistic Monument. In addition, it has baroque and neoclassical features that make this fortress and its surroundings one of the most bucolic and well-known areas of the city of Almería.

Hours: Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. and from 3.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
